One Body Athletic make their gym heart-safe!

A huge well done to One Body Athletic who have recently installed an utterly essential, life saving defibrillator outside of their gym.

The owner said: “So to all of our members, in case we push you a little too hard, have no fear – we’ll revive you and have you back in action in no time! All joking aside – our defibrillator is open access, so for anybody who lives in the S66 area near Meadowhall, this is located right outside our door in case of an emergency.

A huge thank you to those who helped us to raise the funds and make this possible and a big shoutout to my dad and father-in-law for the install.”

There are roughly 6.7 thousand health and fitness clubs in the United Kingdom with approximately 9.7 million members.That’s a huge footfall.

When you also consider the fact that athletes and sportspeople are up to three times more likely to suffer a sudden cardiac arrest, having a defibrillator at your gym where people could be partaking in strenuous exercise seems like a no brainer!
