The chance of survival decreases by 10% per minute after a cardiac arrest, which means every second counts. That’s why we’ve been helping businesses get a free defibrillator in the UK through Charity Grant Funding.

The London Hearts charity has several aims to help more people experiencing cardiac arrest:

To raise awareness of heart conditions.

To provide Public Access Defibrillators in the UK working with strategic partners.

To ensure no one is ever further than 100 metres away from a defibrillator.

The London Hearts Mission

It is our belief that everybody deserves a fighting chance of survival when suffering sudden cardiac arrest in the UK.

There are more than 30,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests across the UK every year but less than one in ten people survive. With the effective and speedy delivery of treatment, survival can be raised to 70 percent, but this requires CPR (chest compressions) and also use of a defibrillator.

By making more defibrillators accessible, and the more people trained in how to use them, the better the chance of survival for a cardiac arrest victim. London Hearts seek to make this lifesaving piece of equipment more affordable to communities and organisations across the country by providing charity grant funding.
