LONDON HEARTS ANNOUNCES NEW CHARITY PARTNERSHIP WITH MASONIC GRAND LODGE
On Saturday 19 October London Hearts Charity was both proud and grateful to receive an incredibly generous donation of £15,000 from the Masonic Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London. The cheque was presented by Mr Andrew Manasseh the Assistant Grand Master and the presentation took place at the West London Metropolitan Lodge Ealing.
This donation will enable London Hearts to continue with their vitally important charitable work ,providing life saving public access heart defibrillators throughout the UK ,and in this particular case Greater London.
Kimberley Lloyd, Operations Manager at London Hearts said ‘This is an excellent opportunity to receive equipment that could mean all the difference in a potentially life threatening situation. I would implore any school, sports club, community organisation to apply’.
“Sadly there are hundreds of thousands of people in the UK with a faulty gene which puts them at risk of sudden death from a cardiac arrest.”
“When someone collapses their heart stops, the next few seconds are absolutely critical. Every minute without CPR and defibrillation can reduce their chance of survival by ten per cent.”
“Defibrillators can be the difference between life and death, which is why we’re urging everyone across England to apply for this vital equipment and have it nearby in case of an emergency.”
For every minute without CPR and defibrillation, a person’s chance of survival decreases by around 10 per cent. A defibrillator is an automatic device that can be used by the public to shock the heart back into a normal rhythm during cardiac arrest. By performing CPR and using a defibrillator until an ambulance arrives, you can help double the victim’s chance of survival.

London Hearts will now continue to forge an ongoing charitable relationship with the Masonic Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London and has accepted an invitation to attend a charity reception at the Freemasons Hall, Holborn on 27 November when hopefully that relationship can be discussed in some further detail .
